Orphans Christmas Party Update!
Our Christmas party on Saturday was a huge success. We arranged for 2 taxis to bring the (32) kids from Steadville. With their arrival (pumping sound as well) we've never seen such joy and excitement, all running to hug Kobus and myself, moving us to tears! They loved the crocodile jumping castle. We gave them hotdogs and juice at ten and later cupcakes and ice cream. We've packed them party boxes with chips and soft sweets which they took home when the taxi's came to fetch them. We had lots of laughs observing them. Pienkie and her assistant is doing such a great job with them. They are happy and content. The best one is the baby, 2 years old, Yamkhelo, still in nappies, very confident and clearly the main man. He has a healthy appetite, finishing his food first and believe it or not, made a few clever soccer moves, dribbling a balloon! They sang Nkosi Sikelele Africa, fists in the air (!), including the Afrikaans part.Kobus handed out their gifts and they loved their toys, playing non-stop until they had to go home. It was a very rewarding experience for my family. I thanked God for it and I truly felt Him smiling upon us. We thank you and Kathy and the donaters for helping us making this day possible. Thank you also for many month's of food supply.
